Maple Mountain FFA sponsored sweetheart’s week, and the proceeds are going towards next year’s Festival of Trees, which will be donated to Primary Children’s Hospital. We were able to raise just over $1,000 to be donated. All of the FFA’s hard work paid off at the dance on Saturday; it was a huge success and everyone had a great time.

Eighteen Maple Mountain High School girls competed for the title of “Sweetheart” 2012. They were: Brett Bennett, Sarah Bendixsen, Christena Birkhoffer, Becca Brown, Erin Elmont, Randie Hyer, Mckell James, Raquel Jones, Kristan Kiracofe, Kami Miner, Heidi Morrill, A’Lea Nielsen, Sam Nielson, Ali Prothero, Jada Poulsen, Heather Richins, Alena Robertson, and Kambrie Sales. The contestants had a range of contests including cow milking, pie eating, flower arranging, cake decorating, and a relay race.

At the end of the assembly, the girls were very excited to hear who won this year’s Maple Mountain Sweethearts Royalty; 2nd runner up was Erin Elmont, 1st runner up went to Randie Hyer, and our 2012 Maple Mountain Queen was Alena Robertson.
