Maple Mountain High welders take 2nd place among over 30 schools.

You may not think about welders every day. However, every time you drive a car, walk into a commercial building like "The Mall", get water from your tap, drive on a bridge, or one of hundreds of other places or services, you can thank welders for helping to build the infrastructure that we enjoy.  Maple Mountain High has some of the best talent around when it come to welders.

Maple Mountain High School participated in the first Nebo District welding competition. This year’s competition was held at Spanish Fork High School. Each school in the district brought their top three welders to represent their welding programs. MMHS took second place in the school standings, with SFHS taking first, PHS 3rd, SHHS 4th and SHS 5th. At the end of March, the top welder for each school will go compete at state held at Salt Lake Community College against more than 30 other schools. This year Stetson West will represent MMHS at state.
